Update (1/11/19): We added more context around the options you should select in the Mod Installer. We’ve also now got Update (8/3/18): Recent patches have rendered the below method broken for a lot of people. However — don’t worry. There’s a fix out there and it’s called the Beat Saber Mod Manager. If you’re new to adding custom songs to Beat Saber, then skip the original steps and just do these new ones. If you installed songs previously that aren’t working anymore, there’s an optional step here you can follow. Here are the steps: • Download the latest version of (1.9 at the time of writing).

• (Optional) If you installed custom songs prior to v0.11.0, open the Beat Saber directory and rename the ‘Plugins’ folder to ‘PluginsOLD’. • With the game closed, launch the.exe, confirm that the game’s directory is correctly selected, then install the core mods (the ones checked by default, select extras if you wish). [the.exe may trigger a warning from Windows when you run it] • Make sure you select “Song Loader Plugin” at the very least. • Additionally, If you want to be able to download music from inside the game, select “BeatSaver Downloader.” • Now either jump into the game and find songs with the new options, or download them manually from the Beat Saver website and put them into the corresponding “CustomSongs” folder. I’ve tested it and I can confirm that not only does it work, but you’ll now also be able to download songs directly inside of Beat Saber without needing to restart the game or extract tracks into the game’s folder.
